In honor of Women’s History Month & Equal Pay Day, our March Circular Salon is all about How to Shop Your Values Beyond Fashion!
Wednesday March 13th, SoHo, 6-8p
Join our community discussion to share and learn more about:
Determining your Values
Collective Action
Capitalism & Intersectionality
Helpful Resources
Fashion is a Feminist Issue
& more!
Our salons rely on and empower our community to turn discussion into action - hope to see you there!
Here were the 3 top clicked links from our Feb 29th Newsletter:
1. Bushwick Repair Fest
You’re invited to bring beloved items needing small repairs. The goal is to resist our throwaway culture through community skill sharing. So many of us toss items that could be kept from the landfill, but we lack the skills or know-how to fix them.
Hosted by Clean Bushwick Initiative the Bushwick Repair Fest is taking place THIS Saturday, March 16th from 3-6 pm at Farm to People (1100 Flushing Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11237 - map)!
Reclypt’s Mending Accountability Club will be there to help you troubleshoot your projects. Reclypt team members will be there, but we also rely on and encourage others attendees to work together as there's always so much knowledge to be shared! While experience isn't necessary, patience is appreciated as we do our best to help everyone!
2. Precycle
“New Yorkers: Plastic-free grocery delivery in NYC?! Yes, please!”
“Precycle exists to empower customers to reduce their environmental impact by reducing food and packaging waste. We believe that every customer has the right to know where their food originates and to be given the choice of reusable instead of disposable. In other words, full transparency.” - Precycle
3. Circular Fashion Playground
Whether you’re starting your circular journey or have been practicing for years, all welcome!
Parts of the Playground:
Fashion Repair Cafe
Get that pant hemmed, crop that shirt, sharpen your scissors, and more with delicious coffee from IXV!
