Craft Night, From Anywhere.
Cancel your plans for the evening of July 15th, we're going hybrid!
TLDR: We’re hosting an in-person and online craft night July 15th from 6-8p.
Have ya’ll seen the cool stuff our community is making?
TBH, I started typing another soapbox ramble about how crafting, at every level, is the ultimate community building activity, thus a natural form of resistance. But I realized nearly all of my posts touch on that, then decided to give ya’ll a break. So instead of telling you how crafting with community is amazing, I’ll show you with pictures (& some text, I can’t break the habit that easily) to recap the previous 6 months of our events!
At the end I’ll be recapping our most recent event - Visible Mending to Repair FABSCRAP BAGS. This will be a recurring event, so scroll down to grab your spot for August!
Real quick: Looking back, I realized the importance of having more hybrid events! While some of ya’ll are local to FABSCRAP, I want to widen and welcome in [future] FAB community members who aren’t! All too often I respond to comments asking why we’re not in this city or how could we not be in that area…
SoOoOoOo, we’ll [virtually] be everywhere!
Help us do so by joining our FIRST HYBRID CRAFT NIGHT Tuesday July 15th, from 6-8p EST! Click the link to learn more!

Hundreds of FABSCRAP bags are unusable from damage.
I’ll get into the who, what, where, when, & why about FAB bags in a future post. Long story short, these bags are used A LOT and need some repairs. To teach mending skills and encourage repair habits, we’re empowering our community!
This past Monday was the start and we’re doing it again next month too!
A huge part of FABSCRAPs service to our 850+ brands are the bags that collect all the pre-consumer textile waste. As we just reached 2 million pounds saved from landfill, these bags are heavily used, making damage inevitable. FABSCRAP has collected hundreds of bags that need repair and we couldn’t think of a better way to repair them than [sharing these skills] with our community.
